Fit & PEI · Interview Question

'Why consulting?' - what's the strong structure?

    How to answer

Hit three pillars in ~30 seconds: the work - solving ambiguous, high-stakes problems across industries with no single playbook; the trajectory - steep learning curve, C-suite exposure, broad optionality after; and apprenticeship - teams that develop you fast. Anchor each to a real moment (a case competition, a club turnaround) so it's earned, not generic. Frame breadth as a deliberate choice, never as 'I'm not sure what I want to do.'

Key idea: Listing prestige, salary, or 'I want to keep my options open' (indecisive/self-serving), or reciting the firm's website copy back to them.
