Leadership & Teamwork · Interview Question
Describe a time you worked on a team. What was your role?
How to answer
Pick real stakes where you can name your contribution and the result. "On a 4-person student fund I owned two consumer names — built the models and pitches, then synthesized everyone's theses into one IC memo (A). We deployed $50k of club capital and my picks returned ~12% over the semester (R)." Show you're a strong individual contributor who also makes the team better.
Key idea: Choosing an example where you did everything yourself — that signals you can't delegate or trust teammates, a red flag for analyst roles.
